Abstracts are now being accepted for the 6th Annual Hazus Conference. This year’s conference is hosted by the Central US Hazus Users group and will be take place in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana from August 5-7, 2013.
 
Hazus continues to grow both in terms of its capabilities as well as increasing national and international interest. The conference provides an opportunity for users to meet, collaborate and share information regarding new and innovative applications of the Hazus technology and resources. As the largest Hazus conference in the world, this event will showcase the latest advances in research and practice.

Participants are encouraged to submit presentation abstracts on innovative Hazus related applications such as, but not limited to, the following topics:

Use of Hazus for  Flood, Earthquake and Hurricane Studies
International Applications of Hazus
Applications of Hazus in high school as well as post secondary education service, teaching and research
Enhancements of Hazus hazard and exposure inputs

Abstracts should be between 75 and 150 words in length.  Submissions should also include the presenters complete contact information and a brief biography.

All submissions should be emailed to Dave Coats at decoats@iupui.edu and must be received no later than June 25, 2013
