Smooth-bore nozzles

Thanks for the informative article on the smooth-bore nozzles. Our company has been a proponent of these tools for several years now. We switched in 1992 to 1516-inch tips on 134-inch and to 114-inch on 212-inch from automatic nozzles. We were criticized when we switched and still are. We were told we want to be like “the big city,” but when you ask the critics why they like combination automatics, their only answer is, you need fog to protect yourself. I think you addressed what true nonsense this claim really is in your article. It`s a shame, but we have several departments in our county still using high-pressure fog as a primary attack line. That`s why it`s nice to see an article written to support our position. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
