The Midlothian (IL) Fire Department uses its PIERCE rescue truck to carry salvage and overhaul equipment. It is also used for extrication, lighting, air cascade, and command center duties, according to Chief Joseph J. Mandarino. A flipdown bench in the body provides seating for rehab. The district protects a five-square mile jurisdiction of 17,000.
