The STRUCTURAL COMPOSITES INDUSTRIES (SCI) operation of Taylor-Wharton Gas Equipment has received U.S. Department of Transportation authorization to manufacture and sell carbon-reinforced cylinders and pressure vessels for commercial, aerospace, and other applications. SCI, based in Pomona, California, produces lightweight, filament-reinforced composite cylinders and pressure vessels. Taylor-Wharton is a division of Harsco Corp-oration.
