3-Alarm Fire in York (PA) Deemed Arson

Eleven people were displaced by a three-alarm fire early Thursday in the city of York, Pennsylvania.

York City Police arrested one person in connection with the fire, according to the local FOX affiliate (http://bit.ly/1oAExca). More arrests are expected.

York City Fire Chief David Michaels says the fire department received a call shortly before 1 a.m. and responded. The fire involved one vacant building and two homes. Part of the abandoned structure collapsed.

Due to the amount of fire, firefighters fought the fire defensively.

The York Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1r0DlkI) reported that officers responding to a reported burglary in progress spoke with a man who smelled of gasoline and was holding a small room heater when smoke filled the block. They arrested the suspect and began evacuation buildings.
