Authorities say a resident safely escaped a burning manufactured home Wednesday afternoon in West Longview.

Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue reports 75% of the double-wide was engulfed in flames when crews arrived just before noon in the 100 block of Ridgecrest Drive, a sparsely populated street east of Mt Solo Road.
One resident was able to leave the home, while the other wasn’t there at the time, the Cowlitz 2 press release states.
Cowlitz 2, Longview Fire Department, Cowlitz County Fire District 5 out of Kalama and Cowlitz County Fire District 6 out of Castle Rock helped extinguish the blaze within two hours.

The remnants of a double-wide is seen on Wednesday, Nov. 20 in West Longview. Authorities say no one reported injuries, but the home was destroyed.
No injuries were reported during the takedown, which included three fire engines, four water tenders, two medic units and three chief officers on the scene, according to the release.
The residents are no longer able to live in the home, and are being helped by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but authorities suspect it to be accidental.
