Panola County, MS – A mobile home fire killed four people and injured eight others in Panola County, MS early Friday morning.The incident was reported by an individual who passed by the scene at approximately 4:15am according to News3 Memphis.
A total of twelve individuals were asleep inside the mobile home. Four of the occupants located in the rear of the home were killed by fire but eight others escaped with injuries. The surviving victims range from 10 months to 31 years of age.
A 14 year-old female was airlifted to The MED, The Regional Medical Center in Memphis, for burns to her hands, face and buttocks. The remaining survivors were transported to a local hospital according to authorities. Fire investigators found both electric and kerosene heaters inside the home which they believe may have the cause of the fire.
