Since 1918, has Akron Brass continued to grow by acquiring and expanding their product lines into new markets. In recent years, Akron has grown to include facilities in Washington, IL (formally, GFE Manufacturing) and Weldon Technologies in Columbus, OH. With these acquisition’s the depth of Akron’s product line and knowledge grew to include quality scene lighting, cord reels, junction boxes, hand tools, vehicular lighting devices and customized electrical controls for specialty vehicle markets. Combined as one, Akron Brass now has the capability to provide their customers with a single supply source for these products. The market reach of Akron Brass has extended to include municipal fire departments, OEM’s (Truck, Ambulance, Bus and RV manufacturers), Government, International and Industrial markets.

The new and innovative Zero Torque (ZT) nozzle grip is ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue. All nozzles are hand built and 100% flow tested for assured performance.

Weldon Vehicular Lighting & Electrical Systems: Akron’s newest acquired division Weldon Technologies develops, manufactures and sells state-of-the-art lighting devices and customized electrical control solutions for specialty vehicle markets. The V-MUX® Brand multiplexing system was designed to utilize power distribution units, or nodes, to reduce and replace traditional wiring harness bundles and electrical hardware.
