After a Decade, CA Firefighter Dies from Injury Sustained During Training

A Selma (CA) firefighter who was injured during training died 10 years to the day later, according to reports.

The U.S. Fire Administration reported that on February 8, 2014, Firefighter-Paramedic Chris Nelson was injured and paralyzed during an incident while participating in training on duty. On February 8, 2024, Firefighter-Paramedic Nelson passed away at age 55 from the injuries he sustained in the incident.
