Akron Brass Rolls Out Innovative New Products at FDIC

Akron Brass rolled out the red carpet for over 20 new products and product enhancements on “Innovation Way” at the 2013 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis.

Visitors were invited to take an exclusive tour down “Innovation Way” where

new life-safety fire and rescue products were demonstrated. The unveiling included products across all categories of nozzles, monitors, valves, scene lighting, vehicle lighting, vehicle electronics, hand tools and reels.

Featured on the red carpet was the all new HydroFX™ flow indicator. This patent pending water flow indicator enhances firefighter safety, alerting the nozzle user when water flow levels have reached a low or potentially dangerous condition. Another epic moment was the unveiling of the StreamMaster™ II mid-range monitor.  Featuring a multiple patent pending design, the Style 3480 boosts a compact operating radius of only 6″ (152mm) and a unique waterway to reduce friction loss for exceptional stream performance at flows up to 2000 gpm (7600 lpm).   “Innovation way” also included the new Apollo™ Electric 1250 gpm (4800 lpm) monitor, Apollo™ Portable Electric 1250 gpm (4800 lpm) monitor, AC SceneStar, and the HRT Pro & Wynn hand tools.

Also captured on camera was Weldon’s award winning 8051 Low Profile LED Dome Lamp. Selected as EMS Today’s Hot Product, this recessed dome lamp highlights an ultra slim design freeing up valuable headroom space with integrated cooling fins for optimal lighting performance. Other new products displayed on the red carpet from Weldon, a division of Akron Brass, included LED Interior Lamps, LED stop/turn/tail/backup & rear Combination Lamp, and a V-Mux Navigation GPS unit.
