Alert notice decal

The “Alert Notice” is a decal designed to be placed on the rear window of an auto that is driven or normally occupied by a heart patient. It alerts emergency personnel responding to an auto accident that there may be a heart patient involved who needs special medical attention.

The Alert Notice was originated about two years ago by Paul D. Davidson, a 27-year-old, six-year veteran of the DeKalb County Fire Department in Decatur, GA. Davidson realized the need for the alert sticker when he was on the scene of a car accident involving a heart patient, and no one noticed that the man was suffering from chest pains for about 45 minutes.

Davidson has received a federal and state trademark for the decals, which have been purchased by city officials in several Georgian counties and are gradually gaining widespread acceptance and use.
