An Annandale (VA) man and a firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries in a fire, reports Annandale Patch.com.
Upon arrival at a two-story, firefighters saw the building, which is near the rear of the property’s primary residence “fully involved with fire.”
It took firefighters 15 minutes to get the fire under control.
The adult male injured in the fire was transported to the Washington Hospital Burn Center. The firefighter was transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
In addition to the injuries to the man and the firefighter, some of the nearby woodlands were affected by the fire.
Fire investigators said the fire, which was ruled accidental, was caused by the “ignition of gasoline from using a metal grinder inside the workshop.”
