Apartment Fire Displaces 48 North Carolina College Students

Forty-eight people are displaced after an early-morning apartment fire in Charlotte, reports myfox8.com.

WSOC-TV reported that the Charlotte Fire Department was called to the Edge Apartment complex on Campus Edge Circle just after 2 a.m Saturday.

“I walked outside because I heard sirens going, and I saw smoke coming off the building, and I was just being nosey and walked over there and looked and by the time I got over there the whole roof was gone,” said Chandar Perry, a UNCC student.

The American Red Cross will provide food, shelter and clothing to anyone who needs them.
