AR Firefighters Reportedly Left Bodies at Scene

The family of two Bald Knob (AR) residents who died in a camper fire two months ago are upset about how the investigation of the incident was handled.

According to a report on KATV (http://bit.ly/wb3qR3), Bald Knob Volunteer Fire Department firefighters left the scene of a fire that killed two civilians without retrieving the bodies.

The officer in charge of the scene, Assistant Chief Larry Guthrie, says the call came in as a vehicle fire so firefighters weren’t expecting to find bodies, but says they did search the area carefully with flashlights. Guthrie apologized and said firefighters should have done a better job.
