Arizona Firefighter Dies During Wildland Fire Training

A firefighter died during a training evolution Saturday in Payson, Arizona.

Bobby Mollere, 61, of the Hellsgate Fire Department was taking part in a wildland fire training exercise Saturday morning when he reportedly collapsed and other first responders were unable to revive him, according to FOX 10 News.

Mollere was with the fire department for 12 years.

The death comes in the same as two other training-related firefighter fatalities: Ironwood (MI) Fire Chief James Peite died following pumper training and Anchorage (AK) Fire Department Senior Captain Jeff Bayless died after a training evolution.
