Arrest Made After Three Arson Fires Erupt In FL Hospital

According to a report from FOX35, an unidentified suspect has been arrested for setting three fires inside and another two around the vicinity of HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida.

Just after 7 p.m. Sunday, crews from the Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) were dispatched to the hospital on SW 46th Court for a report of fire. En route to the hospital, they received a second call for fire.

Inside the hospital, OFR crews discovered fires at a fifth-floor coffee station and first-floor men’s and women’s bathrooms. Minutes later, two other fires were reported behind Rasmussen University and another behind a home near the hospital grounds.

Police said there were no injuries involved in any of the fires, and an HCA spokesperson confirmed the hospital has reopened and is accepting patients.
