A huge fire destroyed at least six homes in the town of Mooresville, North Carolina, with several more homes sustaining damage.

According to WSOCTV.com, the fire occurred at The Reserve at Ashlyn Creek subdivision, which was under construction, and there were no reported injuries.

Authorities said the fire spread quickly, and the incident went to four alarms. More than 50 firefighters responded to the scene. The report said officials attributed the rapid fire spread to the proximity of the homes. Live power lines at the scene were also a concern to crews on scene, the report said.
