AZ Firefighter Dies After Contracting COVID-19

A firefighter from the Verde Valley (AZ) Fire District has passed away after contracting the coronavirus, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

On Monday, October 4, 2021, Firefighter Tyrone Bell, 35, responded to multiple EMS calls with patients with known cases of COVID-19. He subsequently contracted the virus and passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021.
