Baltimore Firefighters Battle Five-Alarm Warehouse Fire

Firefighters battled a five-alarm fire at a vacant warehouse in the city’s Fells Point neighborhood. Thick smoke was visible across the city.

Fire officials said that the building’s roof collapsed, forcing firefighters to leave the building and fight the fire from outside, reports the Associated Press (http://bit.ly/MyWQcr).

The Baltimore Sun (http://bsun.md/LVMNQ3) reports that 130 firefighters were on the scene and that the fire was under control at 5:48 p.m. Firefighters first arrived at the scene around 1 p.m.

The old construction of the building made the fire harder to fight.

Two firefighters were hurt, reports ABC 2 News (http://bit.ly/Kwo9oI).
