A city paramedic had died after being hospitalized just a few days earlier, according to the Chief of the Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department, reports CBS Baltimore (http://cbsloc.al/1RGZC6M)
Chief Randy Kuenzli says Firefighter Nick Hemingway was hospitalized after going into cardiac arrest late Tuesday afternoon while on duty as a paramedic with the Baltimore City Fire Department. Kuenzli reports Hemingway was feeling ill throughout the day before being hospitalized.
Hemingway was a member of the Liberty Heights Fire Department in the city along with other departments including the volunteer department in Bladenburg.
Hemingway graduated the academy in recruit class 14-02.
