Blackjack Helmet Flashlight Holder inventor featured on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch

Chris McCorkle, inventor of the BlackJack Helmet Flashlight Holder, was invited to be a guest on CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch in late December 2007. Because of the popularity of the episode, it was run again on the June 12th, 2008. McCorkle, a veteran Phoenix firefighter was on The Big Idea’s “Road to CES” series and had the chance to call into the show via a live Web-cam.

Media focus is on the rise in a surprise photo in Men’s Health magazine’s March issue. A feature story was written on a fellow Phoenix firefighter’s workout and he is photographed in his turnouts wearing his helmet and attached is the BlackJack flashlight holder. In the past 4 months, Baton Rouge (LA) Fire Department and Phoenix (AZ) Fire Department have placed significant orders to supply the BlackJack as standard issue.1445 Designs, the maker of the BlackJack and the company of which McCorkle is president , has sold over 10,000 units in two years to his fellow firefighters.
