Boston Firefighter Union Reaches Tentative Agreement

The City of Boston and Boston’s firefighter union have reached a tentative contract deal that may include a pay increase for firefighters, reports The Boston Globe (

Details of the agreement have not been released.

“This is the first time since 2001 that we were able to agree at the table and avoid arbitration since 2001, and we are grateful to Mayor Walsh for getting a deal done at the bargaining table,” Richard Paris, President of Boston Firefighters Local 718, said in a press release.
