Boston Firefighters Recover Fallen Colleague’s Wedding Ring from Deadly Fire Scene

Boston firefighters dug through the rubble of a fire that killed two of their colleagues last week to find one of their fallen brother’s wedding ring.

Kristen Walsh–the widow of Edward Walsh, who died along with Michael Kennedy in deadly fire–told the firefighters from Engine 33 and Ladder 15 that she wanted Edward’s wedding ring back, according to The Boston Globe (http://b.globe.com/1i2HwEY). Walsh reportedly never took the wedding band off, but he was found without it on.

Firefighters vowed to find the ring and spent hours digging through debris until they finally recovered the ring. Crew members then returned it to Kristen during Ed’s wake, which was held yesterday.
