Boy Saves Family from Tennessee Fire

A 10-year-old Knoxville (TN) boy is being credited with saving his family from a house fire, according to a news report.

WVLT reports that Elizah Wagenknecht alerted his family when the fire occurred Saturday. Wagenknecht told reporters that he relied on his quick thinking and what he had learned in school to get his family out safely.

Wagenknecht and his sister went out the front, but the rest of the family was trapped in the back. His father busted out the back window, then his mother dropped her two-month-old baby boy out the window, and Wagenknecht was there to catch him.
