BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Multiple firefighters were injured while battling a fire on Buffalo’s East Side Thursday night.
A Buffalo Police spokesperson says four firefighters were injured, suffering burns. One suffered burns to his hands and arms. Two of the firefighters suffered smoke inhalation.

The fire started at a home on Butler Avenue near East Ferry Street and Route 33.
Firefighters say the fire started on the second floor and spread to the attic.
No civilians were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
