Buffalo (NY) firefighters of the 4th Battalion 4th Platoon battled a structure fire at 218 E.Delavan Ave. A second alarm was struck to bring the fire under control.

A close call occurred when the peak of the 2 1/2-story frame dwelling collapsed, narrowly missing firefighters standing below (see above photo). The fire was deemed arson, and damaged two nearby structures.
