Bus Crashes into NY House, Killing Boy

A bus crashed into a home Tuesday night on Long Island, New York, killing a six-year-old boy.

The vehicle careened out of control while traveling on a Long Island roadway at about 9:30 p.m. when it swerved to try and avoid hitting a pedestrian, CNN reports (http://bit.ly/Y59qvV). The bus driver struck the person, lost control of the bus, and crashed into the front bedroom of the house, where the boy was killed.

The victim’s 7-year-old brother was also in the room and suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. The pedestrian also suffered nonlife-threatening injuries.
