Washington, D.C., October 29, 2001-President George Bush has signed into law legislation that increases the Public Safety Officers Benefit (PSOB) from a little above $150,000 to $250,000. The increase is retroactive to January 1, 2001. As reported here last week, Congress had approved the increase on October 25.
