Jerold “Jerry” Bonner, 72, a CAL FIRE pilot, died last week, according to a report.
The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) says that, while on duty at Alma Helitack Base in Santa Clara County, California, Pilot Bonner was found deceased inside of his barracks from a cardiac-related fatal injury. He had 16 years of service.
To date, 16 firefighter fatalities have been reported to USFA in 2015.
