The driver of the car was also killed, and the 12 other occupants of the truck were injured. The inmate, identified as Fernando Sanchez, 25, was killed after being ejected from the truck after the collision. Four inmates were critically injured and eight people–including the crew’s non-inmate fire captain leader–had minor-to-moderate injuries, according to officials.
