Canvas Strip Aids Effective Operation Of Smoke Ejector

The use of a small piece of canvas or vinyl salvage cover material can improve the efficiency of smoke ejectors placed in doorways by reducing the turbulence in the area.

The vinyl piece of material we designed to snap on our smoke ejectors is 32 X 60 inches. It is weighted at the bottom and has snaps at the top that connect to snaps installed on the bottom of the smoke ejector. Once the smoke ejector is installed on a doorway hanger, it is a simple matter to snap on the vinyl baffle, which is carried rolled up on the smoke ejector.

The material merely has to be pushed to one side for a fire fighter to pass through the doorway, and the arduous task of fitting a large salvage cover in the doorway is eliminated.
