Cape May Plans Museum

The Cape May Volunteer Fire Department (N.J.), is building a $25,000 mini-firehouse museum which will display the history of Cape May fire fighting. The 18 x 36-foot building will feature a 1926 American LaFrance pumper and other fire fighting artifacts, including a 28-foot tower once used to dry hose. The museum planning group, the Fireman’s Aid Association, hopes to have the museum open by summer.
