Cause of Deadly WI Fire Undetermined

Oshkosh (WI) – The cause of a fatal duplex fire will remain undetermined, said Oshkosh (WI) Fire Department (OFD) Public Information Officer John Holland.

Holland said investigators found more than one thing that could have caused the fire, but were unable to determine which was responsible.

OFD officials said functioning, properly-placed smoke detectors could have prevented 25-year-old Theresa F. Schmitz from dying in the May 15 house fire at 1675 Ohio St.
