Ceremony Set to Honor NE’s First Female Firefighter

Omaha (NE) – Omaha officials are honoring Nebraska’s first female firefighter before she retires at the end of 2012.

Mayor Jim Suttle has scheduled a recognition ceremony Tuesday morning for Carolyn “Kelly” Williams. Officials say Williams is the first paid professional female firefighter in Nebraska.
