Chicago Firefighters will ride bicycles 950 miles, starting in Chicago and traveling around Lake Michigan, to raise money for pediatric cancer research. The Bike to Fight pediatric cancer bike ride takes place May 18 to May 29, 2010.
20 Chicago firefighters will begin in Chicago, and travel 950 miles through midwest cities including South Haven, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Kenosha, WI; and Milwaukee, WI on bicycles over 12 days.
The Bike to Fight pediatric cancer bike ride has been organized by Chicago firefighter charity Ignite the Spirit.
All money raised will be donated to pediatric cancer research. Money raised will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Chicago’s Children’s Memorial Hospital through the 41 & 9 Foundation.
The 41 & 9 Foundation is a charity established by Matt and Susan Schueler to honor their son, Henry Schueler. Henry Schueler passed away at age 14 in 2007 from infection related to leukemia.
Ignite the Spirit is a fire department charity organized and operated by Chicago firefighters. All money raised by Ignite the Spirit is donated to charity. Ignite the Spirit is a
