The Chicago (IL) Fire Department is set to hire new firefighters and EMTs for the first time in a decade.
Interested applicants can apply online at cityofchicago.org/fireapplication.
According to CLTV, the fire department expects 30,000 people to apply to take the tests. Right now there are 15,000 people on the list, but those people would have to reapply.
The fee to apply is $30. Sign up is now through September 16.
