Chicago Firefighters Battle Church Fire on South Side

Chicago firefighters operated at a fire in a church on the city’s South Side Thursday morning, according to reports.

According to WLS, the fire occurred in the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 5844 South State Street at about 3:15 a.m. Chicago fire crews were forced to operated defensively, according to the report.

A photo from Chicago Fire Media on Twitter showed multiple streams in operation at the single-story building. There were no reported injuries.
