Driver Injured When Semi Truck Plunges from Chicago Highway

The driver of a semi tractor trailer was injured when the vehicle went off the side of an overpass on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago, Illinois. Area fire photographer Tim Olk provided some photos from the scene.

The crash occurred at 8:08 a.m. on Sunday in the outbound lanes of I-90 at the Kimball Avenue overpass, according to WLS.

The semi-truck hit a wall, causing the cab to fall down to the street below while the trailer remained on the expressway. The driver was transported with serious injuries.
