Class 2 ISO rating for Searcy (AR) Fire Department
The Searcy (AR) Fire Department re-cently has been assigned a Class 2 ISO rating. The 28-member department operates three stations within a response area of about 20 square miles with a population of 23,000. Three engines and one aerial perform first-line duty; one engine and one more aerial stay in reserve service.
Under the direction of Chief Bill Bald-ridge, the team members have reached one of the objectives of the department`s midrange plans. Adding a fire training center, which will be started this fall, will put the department within reach of an ISO Class 1 rating, which only 31 departments nationwide have achieved.
