Firefighters battled a huge warehouse fire that started just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Clayton County, Georgia. Several departments from the Atlanta area responded to the fire, and foam-spraying firefighting equipment from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport helped bring the fire under control.
Large rolls of roofing paper and plastic pipes located in an outdoor storage area at the Morrow-based site burned, creating intense flames and sending vast clouds of smoke into the air. Nearby businesses were temporarily evacuated and roads closed.
