CO Firefighter Dies After Fall from Roof at Structure Fire

The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has reported on the death of a 46-year-old Colorado firefighter who was killed after falling during fire operations.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, at approximately 0200hrs., Firefighter Kenneth Jones with the Summit (CO) Fire & EMS Authority responded to a multi-residential structure fire.  Firefighter Jones had climbed to the roof of the five-story building in search of access to the fire when he fell off of the structure.  He was immediately transported to the hospital where he passed away.

He had 20 years of service.
