SIMON-DUPLEX INC., a manufacturer of custom chassis for heavy vehicle applications in Midvale, Ohio, has named Thomas B. Stull director and president. The company is a subsidiary of Simon Engineering, a worldwide engineering and manufacturing corporation based in England.

Formerly vice-president and general manager of Ex-Cell-O’s Materials Handling Corporation, Stull has also served as vice-president of marketing at McCord Heat Transfer Corporation and corporate director of marketing and planning for McCord Corporation and Clevite Corporation. Stull received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in psychology and marketing from Ohio University. He is a founder and past president of the Automotive Market Research Council.

DETROIT DIESEL CORPORATION (DDC) has acquired an 80 percent interest in one of its distributors, Key Power Incorporated. The new acquistion, renamed Florida Detroit Diesel-Allison, Inc., will continue to serve southern Florida with its line of Detroit Diesel engines and Allison transmissions. Officers include Roger S. Penske, chairman; Dwayne A. House, president; and Kevin O. Kroger, vice-president and general manager.

SURVIVAIR, a manufacturer of respiratory protection and life support equipment, recently promoted two senior executives. Robert Hitchcock, director of marketing and sales, was named vice-president, marketing and sales. He has been with the company for two years. Jack Bell, formerly plant manager, has been promoted to vice-president, operations after six years of service.

FWD Corporation has appointed James M. Green president and chief executive officer of FWD/SEAGRAVE FIRE APPARATUS, INC. in Clintonville, Wisconsin, a manufacturer of custom-manufactured pumpers and aerial ladder devices.
