Ernest R. Parker has joined Repco Inc. as director of international sales. Parker’s responsibilities will include forming an international marketing business plan and directing regional managers covering Europe, South America, and the Far East. Repco, headquartered in Orlando, FL, manufactures two-way radio equipment, telemetry products, equipment for the Radio Common Carrier market, and wireless security systems.

Mark I. Raper was named manager of public relations for Figgie International, a diversified company which owns 40 businesses, including American LaFrance, Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of America, BadgerPowhatan (extinguishers), and Snorkel.

John V. Conforti has been promoted to the newly created position of hazardous materials industry specialist for MSA (Mine Safety Appliances Company), Pittsburgh, PA. Conforti, a member of the Hazardous Materials Control Research Institute and the American Industrial Hygiene Association, will coordinate MSA’s marketing effort to the hazardous materials and toxic waste handling industries.

Atcor Inc. has expanded its Electrical and Fire Protection Sprinkler Divisions. The Electrical Products Division is supplying elbows, couplings, and nipples. The Fire Protection Sprinkler Products Division offers a full line of hardware for sprinkler systems with the addition of a complete line of fittings, including roll and groove, plain end, threaded, etc. This is the first product expansion in this area. The division will supply all malleable and cast iron fittings and plans to become a full-service source for complete fire protection sprinkler systems.

Home Safety Equipment Company Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of fire prevention and fire department specialty items, has moved into its new facility at 915 West Street, New Albany, IN 47150.
