Detroit Diesel Corp. has opened six regional sales offices within the United States and Canada. William E. Johnston is the regional vice president for the Eastern region, which is based in Red Bank, N.J. The Southeast region, headed by regional vice president Paul T. Freiwald, is based in Atlanta. Detroit is the location of the Central region’s headquarters; Gerald J. Dunneback is that region’s vice president. The Southwest region is in Dallas; the vice president is Jack C. Hutson. Roger H. Day is the Western region’s vice president; that office is in Downey, Calif. Al McFadden is regional vice president for the Canadian region, which is based in Ontario.
All Pierce Manufacturing Inc. fire apparatus built this year will feature a special medallion celebrating the company’s 75th anniversary. Prominently displayed on the side of the truck, the medallion is illustrated with the anniversary logo specially designed for the occasion. Several past and present models of Pierce utility and fire apparatus appear on each medallion.
