Richard J. Gergelwas appointed manager of fire apparatus sales and David E. Miller was promoted to assistant to the manager, announced Garner L. Davis, senior vice president-sales of Mack Trucks, Inc.
Gergel has 28 years experience in the fire apparatus and special purpose vehicle industry. Miller has been with Mack for 12 years and is a member of the Allentown Fire Prevention Board of Appeals and is first deputy chief of the Western Salisbury, Pa., Fire Department.
Crown Coach Corp., a manufacturer of custom fire apparatus, has been sold to .lack L. Courtemanche, according to R.M. Brockway, president of the 75-year old corporation.
Courtemanche, who will become the president of the company, is a former vice president of Mack Trucks, Inc. Brockway will remain at Crown as senior vice president.
