■ ELECTIONS, APPOINTMENTS, PROMOTIONS

KYRA KENNEDY has been promoted to the position of western sales manager for SURVIVAIR. In her new position, Kennedy will report to the senior vice president of marketing and sales and will be responsible for managing the regional sales managers in the western area. Kennedy joined Survivair in 1989 and served as regional sales manager for Northern California, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado. Before coming to Survivair, Kennedy held sales positions with Ansul and Union Oil Co.

NISSAN DIESEL AMERICA has several new directors: TIM JOHNSEN. who has been with the company since it opened in 1985, is nowdirector of parts operations; LARRY SCHULTZ, also with Nissan Diesel since 1985, is now director of service operations; LARRY TATAROWITZ, former corporate leasing manager, is now director of administration; and DAVE TRUSSELL. who has more than 20 years of experience in the trucking industry, is now director of marketing. Nissan Diesel America is the national distributor of UD Trucks.

DELTECH ENGINEERING L.P. has announced

that its headquarters and manufacturing facility in New Castle, Delaware, has been registered to ISO 9001 by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. ISO 9001 is one of five standards in the ISO 9000 Series of Quality Management and Quality Assurance Standards.

The water rescue and recovery company DIVE RESCUE INTERNATIONAL is under new ownership and management. On April 30, former owners Donna and Steve Linton sold the company to SCOTT R0MME. an employee of Dive Rescue since 1989 and vice president for four years, and BEVERLY YARBER. a Dive Rescue employee since 1986 and former accountant and business manager.

3M has announced the formation of a Specialty Chemicals division, headed by Michael C. Harnetty and part of the company’s Chemicals, Film, and Allied Products group. The new division wall consist of three business units: engineering fluids and systems, performance chemicals, and protective chemicals.

OTTAVIO FlNALDI. AIA, recently joined SOODAN & ASSOCIATES, INC., as the company’s corporate vice president. Finaldi is best known for the S265 million McCormick Place Expansion Program of the 1980s.
