  • LAERDAL MEDICAL CORPORATION has acquired MEDICAL PLASTICS LABORATORY, (MPL) INC. Laerdal manufactures basic and advanced life support training products and emergency medical equipment. MPL makes three-dimensional models for anatomical study and medical education training.

  • DUPONT TYVEKT has acquired the assets of REGAL MANUFACTURING, INC., an ISO-certified facility and TyvekT ProtectiveWear licensee. Regal has manufactured Tyvek garments for more than 20 years.

  • SCIENCE APPLICATIONS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (SAIC) has named Jerome M. Hauer assistant vice president and associate director of its Center for Counterterrorism Technology and Analysis (CCTA). He will be responsible for assisting customers, including federal, state, and local authorities in their response to terrorism. Hauer will lead SAIC’s efforts to develop a corporate crisis planning and response team to provide businesses with the resources necessary to manage crisis response exercises and unexpected incidents. Hauer served as the first director and commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management for the City of New York.

  • SCOTT TECHNOLOGIES has named John D. McStravick vice president and general manager of its Health & Safety Products Group. He will oversee all operational and management functions and report to Glen W. Lindemann, president and CEO of Scott Technologies.

  • COMPAIR has named Todd Zielinski operations manager of its Ocala, Florida compressor manufacturing facility. He will be responsible for customer service, engineering, production, inventory, and personnel.
