Crews Extinguish Connecticut Forest Brush Fire

Firefighters from several fire departments responded to the forest area along Beaver Bog Road to battle a brush fire over the weekend, reports wtnh.com.

According to the Stony Hill Fire Department’s twitter account, the large brush fire broke out in the Pootatuck State Forest.

The flames began burning around 6 pm on Saturday, according to New Fairfield First Selectman, Susan Chapman. Authorities say no one was hurt.

Firefighters from the Stony Hill Fire Department Brush Task Force played a major role in extinguishing the brush fire.
