Chattanooga (TN) Fire Department responded to a reported ​house fire at 1218 Judy’s Lane in Lookout Valley at 3:14 pm.  Squad 20 was first arriving company confirmed smoke and flames showing. An off-duty Chattanooga firefighter and three neighbors pulled a resident from the house. 

There were six fire companies that responded to this fire: Squad 20, Quint 1, Ladder 1, Quint 3, Squad 1, Quint 2, Battalion Chief 1, Battalion Chief 3, and PIO. Hamilton County EMS and Chattanooga Police Department also responded.

There were three residents in the house at the time of the fire.  Despite a quick knockdown of the fire, there was one fatality. There was​ one transported to Erlanger Hospital, and one treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.
