Dallas firefighters rescued a 79-year-old man from a burning home during an early morning fire.
Crews arrived on scene to find a female indicating that her husband was trapped inside a home in west Dallas, according to a WFAA report (http://bit.ly/zgHgtX). Using precise directions, firefighters went into the home and found the victim, who was located in a hallway near the back of the house.
Firefighters removed the man and began performing CPR as he was transported to an area hospital. The victim was in critical condition after suffering from smoke inhalation.
Smoke detectors reportedly alerted the couple to the fire. They attempted to find the source of the fire, but the male victim collapsed and his wife was unable to remove him.
